Company: FlexManage
My Role: Digital Marketing Specialist

This speech was given during an All-Hands Meeting on Friday, August 19 to employees, announcing a company name change and a whole new mission and vision for the future. When I write speeches for my team, I start by sitting down with the person for whom I’m writing and ask them key questions about their most important messages, tone of the speech, ideal length, etc.
I also undergo speaker coaching to help them prepare.

Good morning everyone and thank you for joining me on today’s All-Hands meeting. We have some very big news and I am so excited to finally make this announcement. And since I’m about to reveal a very big change, it’s only appropriate that I start at the beginning…
When this company first opened its doors in 1998, we started as an IT project management firm. So our name – Project Leadership Associates, or “PLA,” as we like to call it – was a direct representation of the work we were doing.
But that’s not so much the case any longer, now is it? Yes, we do have a group of incredible project managers, but PLA has grown into so much more. Our IT consulting and managed services practice has seen incredible growth in the last five years and continues to improve. We’ve kept our focus on customer experience, and it has truly paid off. Our clients are “raving fans,” as Daniel Gold loves to say.
And this momentum hasn’t stopped in 2016. We’ve separated what was traditionally one single practice into two separate groups – The business intelligence and SharePoint groups now stand on their own. Why? Because the team has had great success in acquiring new customers and both Ron and Rick should be very proud of the work they’ve done.
And with new key additions to our leadership team – Daniel and Barry, I’m looking at you guys – we aren’t stopping any time soon. This leadership team will help launch us even further towards our goals – there truly has never been a better time to be part of this organization.
So beginning early 2015, our management team started doing some serious reflection and asking ourselves, “Well, who are we? What does this company represent? What is our vision?” And so we got to work, because we realized that the future of this company was much greater than our current name, Project Leadership Associates, which we felt did not truly represent who we are and what we do.
So here is the big reveal about what all our “secret meetings” have been about. Are you ready? As of today, we are leaving “Project Leadership Associates” behind us for a new name – and a new mission – that better defines the amazing work you all do. And it is with great pride and excitement that I announce our new company name is now FlexManage.
Our new name reflects a commitment to helping clients envision solutions to their business problems by improving business processes and effectively using technology. In order to better align with these business needs, we are enhancing the way we organize and provide consulting services to our clients.
Changing our name is one way for us to align with this new direction, leveraging our strong consulting acumen and helping our clients solve business issues with measurable results.
The name FlexManage references our flexible approach to managing information technology for tomorrow’s business needs. FlexManage provides a comprehensive suite of services that support growing and complex IT environments.
But the secret to our success is not in our technology – it is in our deep commitment to our customers and our unwavering dedication to client satisfaction.
FlexManage is client-first, and we are going to make this company the best damn IT managed services provider ever. Are you excited? Because I sure am…
So what does this mean for you, our employees? Well, our marketing team will be sharing with you all a packet of new collateral with FAQ’s and also a link to these documents on Wheelhouse.
The new website will officially launch on Monday, and we will be sharing a press release, as well. Our old PLA website will redirect to the new website and will remain online for as long as we think is necessary, until our clients and partners are more familiar with the new brand.
Speaking of partners, leadership has already informed our key partners of the rebranding and account managers have also had early discussions with clients and what this will mean for their relationship with us. But I can assure you that these matters will be handled and business will only get better.
Also, Rob Klier will be speaking momentarily to discuss changing your email addresses to reflect the new tenant and how that will work. But together, we will make sure everything runs smoothly. After all, we are an IT company. We better have the IT covered.
Well, FlexManage (that has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?)… no longer will you hear the frequent question, “So what exactly does your company do?” The future is one of growth and possibilities, we are united by our vision, and I cannot wait to see the power of our work now that our mission is clear.
Thank you for listening, everyone. I hope you’re as excited as I am. Now I’ll open up the floor for questions…
