Company: FlexManage

My Role: Digital Marketing Specialist

CHALLENGE

At FlexManage (a Chicago-based IT consulting firm), leadership wanted to find a way to stay in front of our employees more regularly and in a more personal way. Leadership was also concerned that we weren't engaging our remote workers enough.

SOLUTION

I pitched the idea of doing a regular, internal podcast to help employees stay informed, drive a stronger relationship to our leaders, and to ultimately meet employees where they are (given the rising popularity of podcasts). Podcasts were a perfect answer to our needs; They allow for meaningful, authentic communication from employers and give remote workers a sense of stability and purpose.

Show Title: FlexTalk: The Exclusive Podcast for the FlexManage Team

Show Tagline: The exclusive company podcast to help FlexManage employees get the latest company news, hear stories about your team members, and stay inspired while we all work in this crazy world of IT and technology.

Frequency: Monthly

Length of Show: Between 10 and 20 minutes

Platform for Posting: Because this was an internal podcast, we did not go the RSS feed route. Rather, I created a page on our Intranet to house the podcast - it could be streamed or downloaded. When a new post was live, we announced it internally via email. We also shared it via Teams, Yammer and our employee newsletter.

I worked with leadership and Human Resources to create an editorial calendar, covering important company updates, employee benefit announcements, new hire announcements, and moments of employee recognition.
